'Rashtriya Hindi Daily' to launch five editions in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh newspaper market is seeing a slew of launches this month. A couple of days back, Hello Hindustan had announced the launch of a daily afternooner compact from Indore city. Now, daily newspaper, Rashtriya Hindi Daily, has revealed its expansion plans in the state. With back-to-back launches in Gwalior, Indore, Raipur, Jabalpur and Sagar, the newspaper is set to strengthen its footprint in the state.

NEO Cricket launches in multiple Comcast markets

NEO Broadcast America, Inc, a group company of Nimbus Communications Ltd. has entered into an agreement with Comcast Corporation, one of the nation’s leading providers of entertainment, information and communication products and services, to launch the 24-hour sports channel, NEO Cricket. The channel will bring Comcast customers in several major metropolitan markets, live coverage of all international and domestic cricket matches played in India, as well as, other premium events like the Asia Cup and a number of award-winning original productions.

R. Sridharan appointed Executive Editor of ET NOW

R. Sridharan, Senior Editor, News and Trends, has been appointed as Executive Editor of ET NOW with immediate effect. Sridharan, who joined ET NOW in September 2008, has been instrumental in driving the qualitative content of the evening band and has played a crucial role in the growth of the channel. He will report to Rahul Joshi who looks after the editorial content of both Economic Times and ET NOW. Sridharan fills in the position which was left vacant with Andy Mukherjee moving back to Singapore.

Zee Talkies plans a fresh positioning

After three years of operation, Zee Talkies, the Marathi Movie channel by the Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, will have a fresh positioning. The new tagline ‘Aapla Talkies, Zee Talkies’ will be unveiled on November 13th, 2010. The channel will also undertake an eight week marketing campaign to promote their new positioning.
