Asianet’s new talent hunt show gets the Mammootty touch
Malayalam general entertainment channel Asianet is gearing up to launch a new show to hunt for the most talented actor and actress in Kerala. Called ‘Mammootty - The Best Actor Award 2009’, the show will be based on actor Mammootty’s contribution to Malayalam cinema. Each episode feature discussions on the various characters performed by the veteran actor and the closeness of those characters in real life. The new show has gone on air July 25, 2009.

Jiggy George quits Cartoon Network
After a stint of almost eight years, Jiggy George has quit Cartoon Network, where he was Executive Director, and was also responsible for the theatrical business of the company. Details on his next destination were not available at the time of filing the report. Sources inform that George’s last working day with Turner is July 31 2009.

Air India’s creative pitch has finally gone underway five months after the national carrier officially announced a review of its creative duties, which exchange4media had reported in February 2009. Thirty agencies are reportedly in the race for the business. Currently Mudra, RK Swamy, Prem Associates, and ThompsonConnect, among others, are on the Air India roster.
