MTV, Wildcraft join hands to launch range of bags and adventure gear

MTV along with Wildcraft has launched a range of premium bags and adventure gear. Launched at Wildcraft’s exclusive store in Mumbai, the range includes travel and adventure bags, duffel bags, laptop bags and tote bags, among others. The range also comprises a special ‘Roadies’ line that includes bags as well as adventure gear for riding, hiking and cycling as well as other outdoor equipment, including sleeping bags and tents. The range is priced between Rs 745 and Rs 2,995 and is available across exclusive Wildcraft stores as well as modern trade shop-in-shops.

Delhi goes public with Radio One’s ‘Play Your Music Day’

Radio One is going public in Delhi from July. Radio One has launched its ‘Play Your Music Day’ initiative, wherein a total of 1,000 listeners would be chosen across seven cities month on month, starting with Delhi, to come to the stations and play their favourite songs. This is the first time that an FM station has opened its doors to the music loving public to take control of the airwaves.

Bhatia will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership of Vdopia’s growing business operations within the region, including business development. He joins Vdopia with over 10 years of rich experience in the media industry, having played a critical role in spearheading business development at prominent media and entertainment houses. During his tenure, he has been associated with several successful projects within the Internet and Television divisions of Viacom18, NDTV Media and Sony Entertainment. Prior to joining Vdopia, Bhatia was Senior Manager, Business Development at Viacom 18.

Deepak Kanulkar, Jhon Arokiasamy

Good Relations India has promoted two of its key members of the management team. Deepak Kanulkar, currently COO, will be the CEO, while Jhon Arokiasamy, currently Head of National Account Management, will be the COO with immediate effect. Kanulkar has been with Good Relations since October 2007 and has served as COO for the last two years. Arokiasamy, who has spent over five years with Good Relations, will lead the consultancy’s national business strategy and client servicing operations across all branches. Khanulkar has been in the industry for 18 years. Arokiasamy, a post-graduate in English Literature and Management, has been a corporate communications specialist for more than 12 years.

PVR Pictures has appointed Kamal Gianchandani as President. He will be based out of Mumbai and will lead the entire operations of PVR Pictures. Gianchandani has spent his 15-year career in a range of general management, new media, film financing, co-production, distribution, licensing, syndication, film exhibition, multiplex operations positions. Prior to his current responsibilities at PVR Pictures, he was with Reliance Big Pictures (2006–10) as COO, with end-to-end responsibility of the company’s theatrical distribution and licensing business. He is also credited with setting up and managing company’s syndication arm successfully.

Maharashtra Tourism on the lookout for advertising partner

The Director of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, has invited expression of interest (EOI) from ad agencies for handling its outdoor, print, audio and digital advertisements by offering complete solutions through creatives, media planning, media buying, for ad requirements of the department across various media formats. According to industry sources, the account size is pegged at Rs 300 crore.
