BIG Music and Home Entertainment has made appointed Partho Majumder as Business Manager-East. He moves in from Power 107.8 FM where he spent four years, prior to which he was with Sony Music as Regional Manager-East. He has also earlier worked with Marico and Asian Paints. Suvajit Kumar Ganguly too has recently joined BIG Music and Home Entertainment as Marketing Head-East. Ganguly has earlier worked with Aakaash Bangla, Zee TV, Kolkata TV and Big FM. Souvik Datta, who was with Moser Baer, too has joined BIG Music and Home Entertainment as Manager-Acquisition. He was earlier with Saregama.

Mike Webb

Aricent, a communications software company, announced the appointment of Mike Webb as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In his role, Webb will lead the worldwide information technology function to ensure flexibility and speed of services to customers by enabling effective e-business strategies across all of Aricent’s global locations. He brings in 25 years of work experience. He has joined Aricent from Flextronics International where he served as Senior Vice President and CIO. Prior to joining Flextronics, Webb was General Manager of the Project Management Group at Symantec Corporation, where he led a management buy-out to form Time Line Solutions Corporation. Webb was with Hewlett-Packard for 15 years where he held several domestic and international management positions.

Parijat Chakraborty, Anuradha Agadi

The Indian arm of the global research company TNS has announced the appointment of two senior personnel. Parijat Chakraborty has been appointed as Vice President-Technology Research. He was with IDC for over six years and has earlier worked with NFO World Group. He has over 13 years experience in the field of market research and consulting, covering communication, industry verticals, user research and much more. Chakraborty will be reporting to Muder Chiba, Executive Vice President, TNS India. Anuradha Agadi has joined TNS India as Vice President-Human Resources for Domestic Business. She will work closely in enhancing initiatives towards the development of people and culture at TNS. She brings along 17 years of extensive experience. Her last stint was with Brushman India Ltd in the capacity of AVP-HR. In her early days, she worked with McCann in their MR division.

RJ Shekhar

Big FM Hyderabad has got on board RJ Shekhar to host the ‘Big Sandadi’, from Monday to Saturday, in the 8 am-11am time slot. Starting his career as a VJ, Shekhar has made a name for himself as a television and radio host. Prior to this appointment, he was with SFM where he also bagged two awards in the Telugu category at the recently held India Radio Forum (IRF) Awards.

Raha brings with him a wealth of work experience, having most recently served as CMD for ONGC, and Chairman for ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), as also played a role as Chairman of the Standing Conference Of Public Enterprises (SCOPE).
