Vishal Mathur has been appointed as Director, Sales – South Asia for MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd. He will be responsible for building and supporting MEASAT’s customer base across the South Asian region. Prior to joining MEASAT, Mathur was with Zee Telefilms as Assistant Vice-president, where he was managing the sales and marketing portfolio for the Asia Pacific market. He has also had stints with Ten Sports, ESPN-STAR Sports and Global Tele Systems.

Kolkata’s popular RJ pair Rakesh and Pragya have joined Big FM 92.7 Kolkata. Rakesh & Pragya have worked as a pair for the last 10 years and have a big fan following in the city. In their last assignment with Red FM, they were hosting popular programmes like ‘Jeene ka Funda’, ’Chitthi Aayi he’ and ‘Jawani jaane maan’. Though the time slot of their programme are yet to be finalized, they will conduct their programmes in their signature style with a mix of Hindi, Bengali and a bit of English. In Kolkata, Big FM is scheduled to go on air in mid-October.

<p align=justify>One of the key things about the Internet today, after the upgrade from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0, is that there are niche websites. User generated content has become very popular and very big. However, I don't think either will take over the other. Both will co-exist. User generated content in India is very recent, but worldwide they began 4-5 years ago. Still MSN, Google and Yahoo! are growing like crazy.
