The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has invited tenders offering ad rights for nine bus shelters on as-is-where-is-basis and as-is-where-as-condition in Amravati city. These bus shelters would be of Singapore type and the approximate display area allowed would be 11.48 sq m per bus shelter.
The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has invited offers from agencies, companies and firms for granting sole ad rights on passenger seat backs, driver seat backs, grab handles and LCD/LED panels inside its buses. The ad rights will be for a period of five years.
IMCL, the digital arm of DB Corp Ltd, is gearing to launch a news website in English. The new website from IMCL, which already has three websites including in Hindi and Gujarati languages, will focus more on local news. The latest RAM data reveals Big FM continuing its leadership position in the Bangalore market for the morning slot between 7 am and 11 am in Week 29. The FM station got a 20.8 per cent market share in Week 29, up from 18.6 per cent market share in Week 28, 18.7 per cent market share in Week 27 and 19.5 per cent market share in Week 26.
Jagran Prakashan Ltd, publishers of Dainik Jagran, has reported operating revenues of Rs 269.82 crore for Q1 FY11, an increase of 16.36 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The net profit stood at Rs 55.60 crore, while the EPS for the quarter was at Rs 1.85, an increase of 12.80 per cent over Q1 of FY10.
The pitching bug hasn’t spared Reliance Communications as well. Following a rather silent shopping process, the telecom major has appointed MEC and OMD as its media partners. OMD has been given the wireless data and DTH part of the business, while MEC has been given the entire wireless mandate, which includes voice, 3G and other offerings. DB Corp Ltd, home to flagship newspapers Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar and Saurashtra Samachar, has reported an 18 per cent increase in advertising revenues to Rs 2,357 million in Q1 FY11 from Rs 2,000 million in Q1 of FY10. DB Corp’s consolidated EBIDTA margin stood at Rs 1,136 million.
