BBC shifts Hindi Services base to India; Amit Baruah appointed Head
The restructuring process of BBC World Services, which was done to shift the base for its Hindi Services to India, is now complete. BBC World Services has roped in Hindustan Times’ Foreign Editor, Amit Baruah, to head the Hindi Services. Baruah joins on August 1, 2009, and would be reporting to Nazes Afroz, Executive Editor, South Asia, BBC World Service.
Telecom Co Telenor scouts for creative agency
Norwegian telecom group Telenor, which is planning to launch in India later this year, is on the lookout for a creative agency to create strong communication in the country. The telecom company is said to be in talks with some agencies for a long time and is expected to take a decision on its creative partner soon.
