Anirban Bhattacharyya has been appointed Executive Producer at Channel [V]. His responsibilities include providing direction for creation of original programming for the channel. With experience in the media and entertainment industry spanning almost a decade, he has been responsible for some of the popular and acclaimed show formats on Indian television. He began his career with TV 18. He then moved to Channel [V] in 1999 where he worked on various youth, lifestyle, travel and celebrity centric shows, some as iconic as Channel [V] Popstars and [V] Freedom Express. His most recent assignment was with Walt Disney Television International (India) where he spearheaded the creation of local non-fiction content.

Andrea Mezzasalma has been appointed Head of TNS' Internet, Television and Radio Audience Measurement sector (iTRAM), responsible for managing the global business. He will relocate from Milan to London. He became the youngest partner in Eurisko, a leading Italian marketing information company, where he played a key role in developing and marketing innovative technologies for audience measurement. He has broad experience across a wide range of research sectors and a strong background in segmentation and data integration. He takes over from Mike Gorton who will be retiring from TNS this year but will remain with the Group as a consultant.

Xerox earmarks Rs 17 cr for brand building

Only basic features interoperable under DTH, says TRAI

TRAI has recommended that when a DTH subscriber changes the service, he should be aware that he might lose advanced features in his set top box like private video recording and digital video recording. Thus, the regulator has kept the advanced features of STBs out of interoperability norm, making only basic features like TV viewing interoperable.
