Starting this year, the MRUC has made the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) a quarterly affair. The first quarterly IRS report for 2010 does not show much change in the topline figures. Dainik Jagran continues to lead the overall dailies and Hindi dailies list. The Times of India tops the English dailies chart. Saras Salil and India Today are the top magazines based on the total readership figures.

The initiative saw Red FM turn blue for an entire day on April 23, 2010 to celebrate the brand new features of the Wagon R, such as its blue eye shaped headlights, taller body, etc. Everything from the station jingle and bumpers to the RJs’ sign off was modified to incorporate the Wagon R’s unique features and celebrate its arrival in style.

TIMPL operates its OOH media business under the brand name Times OOH.

Hindustan Times has appointed Sudeep Mukhia as Resident Editor in Delhi. Mukhia takes over from Yashwant Raj, who now moves to Washington DC as HT’s North America representative. Mukhia comes from CNN-IBN, where he was part of the channel’s launch team in 2005. He would report to Sanjoy Narayan, Editor-in-Chief, Hindustan Times.
