‘We don’t want the dal-rice combo to keep changing’

“You offer what the consumers want and at the same time give them the unconventional, because any Indian household would eventually go back to the staple diet that is dal-rice. And we don’t want the dal-rice combo to keep changing. The Indian housewife wants to be adventurous… But there is a big difference between purchase intent and purchase and that becomes a judgment call,” points out Rajesh Kamat, CEO, Colors.
