MCCS appoints Mindshare as media agency

Media Content and Communications Services (MCCS) has appointed Mindshare as its media agency, or as Neeraj Sanan, VP, MCCS, told exchange4media, “media agency partner”. Even as MCCS was working with Mindshare prior to this on an informal basis, this is the first time the company has officially appointed a media agency. The creative of the business continues to be handled by MCCS’ in-house unit, Central Creative Cell.

Span Communications bags APAC part of Incredible India’s international campaign

Span Communications has once again bagged the advertising duties for Ministry of Tourism’s Incredible India campaign. Span has been assigned the APAC part of the international campaign. The result for the Americas and Europe campaign is expected in two days’ time. Sources close to the development have revealed that the overall size of Incredible India’s international business was upwards of Rs 150 crore.

Government to amend Press & Registration of Books Act: Ambika Soni

Speaking at the All India Editors’ Conference on Social & Infrastructure Issues in Srinagar, Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni said that the Government would soon amend the Press & Registration of Books Act, (PRB Act) 1867 on a larger scale as the existing provisions of the Act were inadequate to cater to the growth of the print media. While members of the industry stated that the Act needs to be amended, they also said that the MIB should take the Press into confidence before moving in that direction.
