The company has earmarked Rs 4 crore to promote the brand. The business would be handled by Parle Agro’s current agencies – Creativeland Asia and OMD India. This is yet another instance where the advertising agency has played an active role in designing the look and feel of a brand.

Max New York Life Insurance Ltd, the joint venture between Max India Ltd and New York Life International, LLC, the international arm of New York Life Insurance Company, has named Rajesh Sud as CEO and Managing Director of the joint venture operation, effective November 1, pending formal IRDA approval. Prior to the appointment, Sud was serving as Max New York Life Insurance’s Deputy Managing Director. Gary Bennett, who served as CEO and Managing Director of the company since July 2005, has been named Executive Vice President and Greater China CEO of New York Life International, LLC, effective immediately. In a related announcement, Rajit Mehta, Max New York Life’s Deputy COO, has been appointed as the COO of the joint venture, also pending regulatory approval.

Ford India has announced the appointment of Timothy Tucker as Vice-President, Sales. Tucker will be based at Ford India’s New Delhi office. He brings with him 23 years of experience within Ford Motor Company. Tucker began his career with Ford in the North American Parts and Service Division, and moved to the UK in 1997. In 2000, he was appointed Director, International Operations for Marketing, Sales and Service of Jaguar and Land Rover, followed by an appointment as their Director of Overseas Operations for Marketing, Sales and Service. Tucker was Vice-Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam from 2004-07, and was recognised as the Outstanding Entrepreneur in the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2005.
